Dos Ojos

The cenote most people picture when they imagine diving in Mexico. Shallow, bright, and forgiving.

Two connected sinkholes give Dos Ojos its name. Both lines are shallow, well within recreational limits, and the visibility is close to unreal — you regularly see your entire group strung out ahead of you in the dark.

The Barbie Line is the bright one: sunlight cutting through the entrance, stalactites hanging in still water. The Bat Cave line is darker and ends in an air dome where bats roost above the surface.

Because it stays around ten metres, air lasts and the dive is long. It is the cenote we recommend first if you have never done one, and the one experienced divers still ask to repeat.
