Angelita is one hole in the jungle floor. You descend through clear fresh water and at about thirty metres you reach a dense hydrogen sulphide layer that behaves exactly like the surface of a lake. Branches break through it. Divers below you disappear.

Dropping through the cloud is disorienting in a way very few dives are. It is dark underneath, and it smells faintly of sulphur when you surface afterwards.

This is a deep dive with no cavern overhead, but real depth exposure and a short bottom time. We only take divers with genuine experience below thirty metres.
